| Prayer Request: | Talk time students from condell park high school who took the exam for the 10th straight semester are a rarity. As of Friday evening, the school had about 1,500 students enrolled in the class of 2018. But with tuition at South High high soaring and schools like Condell Park taking a hit, students who need to have the experience need help. The school has teamed up with the Illinois Teacher Loan Bank to offer the best price in the state for students who want to receive help paying off their loans. While you wait for your loan payments to be finalized, you can get an educational opportunity in the process. The school will match your loan payment up to $250, or any $250 contribution up to $1,000. "I'm really excited by this opportunity," said student Jazlyn Jones. "I am extremely grateful and proud of this opportunity to serve as a mentor, but also I feel really honored to be a part of this amazing experience," said teacher and Condell Park High School vice-principal Joe Marra. Jazlyn has been participating in the class-based learning program and will now be able to look forward to the same experience in the classroom. "In my last semester of high school I had a dream of becoming an English teacher. I never thought in the first place that I would be here with a teacher mentor and be able to experience this from a student's point of view," said Jones. And while the Condell Park high school may still experience some competition from schools like Condell Park Park City and Condell Park High, the school is confident students can have the experience regardless of their specific level of educational experience. "These types of educational opportunities are the way we can best support our students in the classroom and in the community," said Condell Park Schools principal Steve Brancaccio. The school has been serving students from the middle of the country and South of the border for decades.
