Prayer Request:Drought reduced fuel spill damage authorities with $4.7 million from DEP's Safe Drinking Water Program, which funds water damage cleanup, according to records released this week.

The spill was caused when the spillway on the Stirling Run Dam upstream of Port Clinton collapsed following an oil spill, the state Department of Natural Resources confirmed in a news release.

The DEP estimates the spill will cost about $80,000 and requires the Port Clinton area to get an additional $2.8 million in repair costs from $7.2 million it paid for the spillway in 2016.

"A disaster in Port Clinton requires that this work be done as quickly as possible, and we are glad to be working with the DEP on this major repair," Port Clinton Mayor David Chappell said.

The spillway will be repaired to its original specifications. The contractor to fix the spillway had been scheduled to begin work on the structure Sept. 16, but stopped the work due to water damage, DEP spokeswoman Lisa Kravits said.

The DEP will pay for the water damage cleanup and will give the public $1.6 million toward the cost of repairing the damaged leakway. The dam is currently under construction.

The river flow from the reservoir is expected to return to normal Monday at 7:40 a.m., according to the DEP.

Iran nuclear talks: US, Iranian sides focus on easing tensions

The West has warned Iran that all military actions against Tehran will be strictly monitored and that any attacks will be responded to with an "iron hand."

The new measures come as Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said Tuesday that Tehran was determined to end its "unlimited" nuclear program.

"Our determination is clear and we are prepared for whatever happens. We're prepared to defend our right to pursue nuclear energy. The United States and other nations and the international community should realize this," Khamenei told foreign journalists during a visit to Iraq.

"They [the US and others] should realize that whatever is said about the deal, which it says that the international community is willing to pay, the Iranian government is prepared to deal with the international community."

Khamenei said it was unacceptable that "this kind of attitude is still allowed" by the West and its political class.

"We do not like anything in Iran that is contrary to the agreement between the U.S. and the P5+1 (powers) on the nuclear agreement that was reached with the United States."

"If you try to impose a different attitude on us, it will only serve the interests of the United States."

Khamenei also vowed to put pressure on the West to back down if Tehran did not fulfill all of its commitments under the interim deal reached in November.

Iran's nuclear program has grown increasingly sensitive in recent years under the leadership of Iran's reclusive Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was accused of having orchestrated a military strike in 2013 that killed dozens of civilians.

President Donald Trump's administration has urged Tehran to take steps "based on what I perceive as Iranian sovereign right," a spokesman said in November.

However, the United States and its allies have shown little appetite for concessions to the regime and the latest moves were largely in response to Iranian defiance.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani (R), on a visit to Tehran, on Tuesday said the "international community should recognize that it is the government of Iran" that was in charge of the country's nuclear program.

"We, the Islamic Revolution and Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, call for the international community's acceptance of this truth as the supreme law and reality," Rouhani said in response to a question in the state-run news agency IRNA.

"We appeal to the international community as well as their respective statesmen and leaders to understand that we do not seek weapons and are not seeking to acquire any weapons. We do not want arms from anyon
